Jason is a London fanatic, professional tour guide, qualified teacher/lecturer and a history of working professionally in psychology. He has become a social media creator in the last year, bringing his love of London history to life through his Instagram handle @LondonLayers1 and more recently TikTok and YouTube. Jason hosted his first London Layers walking tours in 2025, which were enjoyed by lovely, well attended groups!

He’s a very considerate guide, not drowning you in excessive detail, and adapting to your pace, however fast or slow you want to explore. We covered quite some terrain across East London, but if felt like a pleasant stroll, combining points of historic interest, small but meaningful anecdotes, atmospheric streets and “hidden” corners that most tourists would miss, as they don’t appear in the usual city guides.
