Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and basically answered every question we had asked ourselves about Shkoder, before we even had to ask! If you’re not a history buff, this tour may not be for you as it is quite dense on information. For those interested in the history of Albania, would highly recommend.

Die Tour war sehr gut! Die Orte, die wir besuchten, gut gewählt und unsere nette "Reiseleiterin" hat uns unsere Fragen bestens beantworten können.

An excellent guide who knows the history of her city and country extremely well. His way of telling the story immerses you in different periods through which this city and this country have gone. We recommend it without a doubt, we assure you that you will come away with a lot of extra knowledge. You won't see the two hours pass.

Our tour was incredibly informative and interesting. We started with a quick crash course in general Albanian (recent, past 100 years) history as well as a quick overview of the importance of the isolate language. We then moved on to much more recent events (last 30 years), and from there on to culture generally and some information on the Ottoman occupation. We moved from monument to monument to building, and the stream of information continued, much to our delight. Some interesting tidbits (like why there are so many shops in front of residential buildings) were sprinkled throughout the tour, and our guide is clearly passionate about her city and history. I recommend this very strongly to anyone who wants to understand more about the lovely city of Shkodër.
