Tour description
Guadalajara, the capital of the Mendoza. Guadalajara has always been a meeting place for very different cultures. Its strategic position in the center of the peninsula, next to the fertile banks of the Henares and protected by steep ravines, made it inhabited since prehistoric times. However, it would be in Arab times when this city adopted its current name and began to take the form with which we know it today. Already during the Renaissance, the noble Mendoza family would be in charge of taking it to its maximum splendor, raising building jewels such as the Palacio del Infantado. Nowadays, Guadalajara is a young, accessible city, full of plans and activities. Those visitors who wish can see with our guides the remains of the Alcázar, the Co-Cathedral of Santa María, the Church of Santiago, the Torreón del Alvar Fáñez or the Pantheon of the Countess of Vega del Pozo. Great treasures from a little known city. *Note: During the tour, you can visit both the Palacio de la Cotilla to see the Chinese room, which costs €1, and the Mendoza family pantheon located in the Church of San Francisco, which also costs €1. Access to both buildings will be done independently and voluntarily.
Only groups of up to 6 people are allowed in this activity. If you are 7 or more people, you will be asked for a payment per person in advance to join the visit.
