Free Tour Buda: Medieval City and Castle
Hello travelers! We are a group of guides happy to live and work in Budapest! With degrees in History of Art and Tourism. And after years of experience in the city, we have come up with the recipe for the perfect free tour: INGREDIENTS: -300 grams of history (just enough so that you don't get saturated) -150 grams of legends -several tablespoons of curiosities, gossip and news - "salt shaker" to the taste of the guide -A handful of tricks so that you learn to move around the city - A guide wanting to enjoy yourself - A motivated public PREPARATION: We start by adding the 300 grams of history, because every tour has to start with a good historical context. But immediately we add 150 grams of legends to the mixture in small doses and stir well until a well-homogeneous and balanced dough is left. Let it rest and add salt to taste until you start to hear a few laughs. That is the signal that tells you that the mix is on the right track. It is then the right time to add several spoonfuls of curiosities, gossip and current affairs, always at the request of the diner. All this is put in the oven for 2 and a half hours at maximum power. And to avoid that the dough does not drop, go adding tricks and recommendations. If the steps have been followed well, we assure you a good free tour. And if the recipe is also made in Budapest, success is guaranteed!

Do you want to know a fairy tale city?
🧚 Perfect! In this Free tour we bring you closer to history through popular legends. You will see the medieval city, the Matthias Church, the Fisherman's Bastion and the Buda Castle .
It is important to carry the cameras with as much battery as possible. We are going to see the most spectacular part of Budapest, and therefore, the most photographable.
ITINERARY:
🟢 HOME: We are waiting for you at Clark Ádam tér . Right in front of the Chain Bridge.
🟢 We will see the picturesque Funicular and enter the Buda Castle . Take out the camera because we will climb the walls to enjoy spectacular views.
🟢 We will also take a walk through the Várkert Bázar , the palace gardens, as if we were Empress Sissi herself :)
🟢 You will sit in front of the majestic King Matthias fountain , where legend and reality mix in this character so loved by Hungarians.
🟢 We continue to the old market square, where the great magician Houdini lived. And where during the Middle Ages public punishments were applied!
🟢 We continue along Uri utca street, the noblest in the city, and from a viewpoint, you will see the famous Mount Géllert . You will be amazed by his story.
🟢 We will reveal the secrets of the Laberyntus and the Hospital de la Roca . Two of the most famous attractions of the Medieval City.
🟢 We will advance to the National Archives and visit the Church of María Magdalena , of which only one tower remains.
🟢 And as a final climax, we take you to the impressive Matías Church!
🟢 And why not? We end with a "posture moment" at the Fisherman's Bastion. We will tell you where to take the best photos of your trip :)
🟢 And those with a sweet tooth, you're in luck! Because you can take the opportunity to have a coffee at the Ruszwurm Cafeteria, the oldest in the city and a favorite of Empress Sissi.
And who will accompany you through this medieval city? A prince charming? A gentleman? Well no, we haven't found any, and we've been looking for it! Failing that, professional minstrels, graduates in Art History and Tourism, will go to make you spend a legendary afternoon!
