Hello travelers! We are a group of guides happy to live and work in Budapest! With degrees in History of Art and Tourism. And after years of experience in the city, we have come up with the recipe for the perfect free tour: INGREDIENTS: -300 grams of history (just enough so that you don't get saturated) -150 grams of legends -several tablespoons of curiosities, gossip and news - "salt shaker" to the taste of the guide -A handful of tricks so that you learn to move around the city - A guide wanting to enjoy yourself - A motivated public PREPARATION: We start by adding the 300 grams of history, because every tour has to start with a good historical context. But immediately we add 150 grams of legends to the mixture in small doses and stir well until a well-homogeneous and balanced dough is left. Let it rest and add salt to taste until you start to hear a few laughs. That is the signal that tells you that the mix is on the right track. It is then the right time to add several spoonfuls of curiosities, gossip and current affairs, always at the request of the diner. All this is put in the oven for 2 and a half hours at maximum power. And to avoid that the dough does not drop, go adding tricks and recommendations. If the steps have been followed well, we assure you a good free tour. And if the recipe is also made in Budapest, success is guaranteed!

About the Tour

Do you want to know a fairytale city? Perfect! In this Free tour we bring you closer to history, through legends and popular tales. You will see the medieval city, the Matthias Church, the Fisherman's Bastion, and the Buda Castle. And you will enjoy the best views of Budapest! ITINERARY: We wait for you at 15:00 in the Szell Kálman ter Square to go to the Vienna Gate. This is where all the invading armies have penetrated! So ... we cannot be less. We assault Buddha? ;) Well let's go! Arm yourself with your camera and we will take to the walls to enjoy the views and celebrate the victory! We advance to the National Archives and visit the Church of María Magdalena, of which only one tower remains. And next to it, we will see a tank from World War II, and a sculpture with a great story behind it "The legend of the warrior monk." We continue along Uri utca street, the most noble in the city, and from a viewpoint you will see the famous Géllert hill Do you want to invade it in your free time? We will tell you how to do it ... And now is the time to pray for our sinful souls in the Matthias Church! And why not? There is also time to have a "posture" moment at the Fisherman's Bastion ... so let's take a break! We want you to have time for yourselves. Visit the Church; take a thousand photos, enter the oldest pastry shop in Budapest; or if you are superstitious, play "the horse of luck". After recharging the batteries, we continue to the old market square, where the great magician Houdini lived. And where during the Middle Ages, public punishments were applied! you are going to hallucinate ... And from there, direct to the Funicular and we entered the Castle! Careful that they don't listen to us, we will tell you gossip about Francisco José and Sissí! :) And to finish, sit in front of the majestic King Matías fountain, where legend and reality mix in this character so beloved by Hungarians. At 18:00, we finished at the Gran Mirador. Its name says it all ... spectacular views, beautiful photos and enjoy the conquered domains! And who is going to accompany you through this city of tales and legends? A prince charming? A gentleman? Well no, we have not found any, and we have looked for it!
