Hi! I'm Detelina and I'm waiting for you here, in Kotel, where the nature is everywhere around us, the museums will take us to another world and the food will give us the pleasure from the traditional gastronomy! I am an Official Tour Guide and also a Museum Guide. I like to travel and cook. It's a pleasure to invite you to this unique place, full of history, folklore music and traditional food... :)
Tour description
Close your eyes ... imagine that you are in the mountain listening the song of the pines, breathing clean mountain air, trying traditional food ...
If you like it, we will start our tour from the central part, where the interesting architecture of the old Church "Sts Peter and Paul" and the Museum of the History are taking our attention.
On a walking distance is the old town Galata quarter where we'll continue to enjoy the architecture of the typical timbered houses. There are located The Museum of Kotel carpets - Galata School and The Ethnographyc Museum "Kyorpeev's House".
Here the music and folk dances are in anyone's heart! In Kotel you will find the first in the Balkan Peninsula and the second in Europe National Folk Music School!
Our walk will continue to the park "Izvorite" (The Springs) where are the water caves and springs. Together we will discover the legend and the importance of that place as well as the legend of the settlement of the town.
In the same park is located the Museum of Natural Sciences which is the second largest one in the country with its collection of flora and fauna!
