Romantic Rome - free tour of Villa Borghese
The pleasant walk begins at Piazza del Popolo, which welcomes visitors entering Rome and wishes everyone "a warm welcome" with an inscription above the front door that was originally written for Christina, the Swedish queen who He came to the city in 1655.
We will go up to the Pincio, a beautiful terrace, one of the most romantic views of the entire city, the so-called Terrazza del Pincio, we will enjoy the view that is particularly charming at sunset, we will see the water clock, the Italian patriots and we will arrive at the Giardino del Lake, another romantic must-see, where you can see the temple of Aesculapius located on an artificial island and then admire the "Fonte Gaia" a fountain that seems to affirm the feeling of closeness, care and joy. Piazza Siena is famous for its equestrian competition, the Temple of Diana, the monument of Umberto l -who died tragically, see the Borghese Gallery from the outside see numerous fountains scattered throughout the park.

Very informative, interactive & fast paced tour. Ruza was very passionate about the art & architecture. We were only a group of 3 in the low season which was great. So much to see in the Villa Borghese park it feels like a very long tour so make sure you wear very comfortable shoes!
