Hi, I'm Chris and I live in Kassel since last year. Since then I am very interested in Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe and the history of the city. For this reason, I would like to share my knowledge with you. Apart from that I like to get to know new cultures, I like traveling and I am especially interested in people, cities and their geographical development.
Would you like to enjoy the view from the Hercules - the landmark of Kassel - over the city after an interesting hike?
Then you've come to the right place!
In this tour we dive into the origin of the UNESCO World Heritage "Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe" by learning background information about the park, admire impressive monuments and finally enjoy the view over Kassel at the Hercules. During the guided tour I will tell you about the history of the park and the initiator of the park (Landgrave Karl) and his successors.
We will have a look at the following stations on an exciting way up:
The hiking trail and attractions can be customized according to individual wishes. The hike is planned as an ascent and leads from the train station "Wilhelmshöhe (Park)" to the Hercules, a total of about 3.5 km with about 300 meters of altitude, so an average fitness is required. The tour takes about 2 hours.
The tour is possible in German as well as in English.
Please wait for a confirmation before a tour.
