Hello, my name is Haktan. I am a licenced tour guide who is in love with Istanbul! I will take you to some amazing places and tell you their even more amazing stories! I studied in the USA and travelled to more than 30 countries joining the walking tours whenever I had a chance. I always dreamt of doing such tours in Istanbul and I got my tour guiding degree and started doing it 3 years ago. So far I've received great reviews and met a lot of amazing people. Looking forward to meeting you! Haktan

About the Tour

We meet in front of Topkapi Cafe which is on Soğukçeşme street near Topkapi palace. The tour will start on the European Side and finish on the Asian Side of Istanbul. We will take the ferry from Eminönü. We will have tea on the ferry and throw simit to seagulls, which is a very Istanbul experience! Don’t worry about the tickets, I will have my Istanbul card with enough credits for all of us :)

Here are some highlights of the tour:

EUROPEAN SIDE:

  • Ahmed III Fountain
  • Topkapı Palace (non ticketted parts)
  • Hagia Irene (from outside)
  • Archeology Museum (from outside)
  • Gulhane Park
  • Sirkeci Train Station
  • First Turkish Delight (Lokum) store in the world.
  • A small Bosphorus tour with the ferry. (Tea on the ferry - my treat)

ASIAN SIDE:

  • Ahmed III fountain (Yes, again! :))
  • Mihrimah Sultan Mosque
  • New Mother’s Mosque
  • Cool streets and cafes of Usküdar.
  • Turkish Baths with reasonable prices.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: I will be in front of Topkapi Cafe (on Soğukçeşme sk) with my tour guide tag around my neck and with daisies used like a flag.

Fun and very interesting tour. Haktan made the trip a memorable one and we came out with a lot of little hints that we could not have found out on our own.
