Tour description

Discover A Coruña in a different way. We'll talk about history and geography, of course! But we'll also see the city through the eyes of its inhabitants and their customs.

A Coruña is a beautiful city located in a privileged enclave where the salty air of the Atlantic Ocean permeates the air with that fragrance so characteristic of fishing towns. This must have been what the Celts and Romans thought when they settled in these lands.

The history of A Coruña is rich, as we'll see in its beautiful monuments, which we'll discover throughout the visit . We'll share anecdotes in a fun and entertaining way that will help us better understand the city's unique features.

We will, of course, talk about María Pita and her heroic role during the English siege in 1589. Due to historical circumstances, the English would become allies of the Coruña people three centuries later.

We'll stroll through the winding streets of the old city , one of the most unknown parts of A Coruña, even for locals. There, we'll visit its beautiful religious buildings (the Collegiate Church of Santa María, the Convent of Santa Bárbara, the Church of Santiago), as well as its military structures (the San Carlos Garden, the Captaincy General building, etc.).

We'll marvel at the city's fantastic galleries and then try to discover their function and why they are the way they are.

We'll visit the city's most central streets, where we'll see the busiest hospitality and wine district.

Immediately afterward, we'll head back into the heart of the city, where we'll see the Church of St. Nicholas. We'll conclude our visit on the magnificent beaches along the city's Atlantic coast, where we'll discuss the beauty and fierceness of the Atlantic Ocean.

Don't hesitate, reserve your spot and discover the city in a different way with a fully accredited local guide. We're sure you won't regret it. :)

PS: Not all locations shown in the photos will be visited on-site, but directions will be given on how to get there.
