Hello! I am Arturo, I like to be a guide in Mexico City because I have lived here for more than 10 years and I like to show people the beautiful side of my city. Last year I was living in Berlin. Apart from travelling, one of my hobbies is languages, I am fluent in English, Spanish and German, and I also like to learn from different cultures.
In this tour of the beginnings of Mexico City we will talk about the foundation of Coyoacán, the Spanish conquest of the Mexica empire and the mysteries and legends in the streets of this magical area of Mexico City. As this is a street tour, we will not enter the places we visit.
Itinerary:
The tour begins in the square of the Church of Santa Catarina , we go to the Aguacate alley to learn about the legends that surround this place. Then we go to the center of Coyoacán to learn about the history of the buildings from the colonial era and finally visit the Coyoacán Market and Frida Kahlo's house.
My goal is that at the end of my tour you fall in love with Coyoacán as much as I do :D
PS: When the tour is over, I have a surprise for you that will make your trip happy ;)
I will be in the garden in front of the Santa Catarina chapel wearing a red cap.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
