Tour description
Freedom and Love Walking Tour
My tour is a general historical tour in which we visit the landmarks of Budapest and where you can get to know the song :
Freedom and Love - the song version of the famous Hungarian poem written by one of the greatest Hungarian poet.
As a former Hungarian Culture and History teacher, I will give you an overview of Hungarian history starting from the birth of the Hungarian nation throughout the freedom fights and revolutions up until nowadays.
I understand your coffee needs :) so short refreshment breaks are planned ahead in the tour.
You will receive recommendations on local food, drinks, thermal baths, public transport, ruin pubs, currency exchange and many more...I will even tell you how to save money and be on a boat tour on the Danube river :)
My tour goes beyond the superficial history, down to the true experiences of the Hungarian people.
I will explain why some of the monuments are falsifying historical facts and will tell you the true facts that were forbidden to talk about for long decades.
