But if you only look at the museum walls, you are missing half the story. On this half-day (3.5 hours) essential walking tour, we will unlock the secrets of the Old City. We will stand where Roman chariots raced, discover the symbolisms behind royal mosques, find hidden Byzantine structures hidden in plain sight, and dive into tales of imperial court intrigues, forbidden loves, and grand sultans.

The German Fountain (Kaiser Wilhelm II)Right at the northern end of the Hippodrome, we stop at this beautiful Neo-Byzantine gazebo-style fountain. I will tell you the strategic story of a secret alliance, a German Emperor’s visit, and the global politics of the late 19th-century Ottoman Empire.

While admiring it from the grand courtyard, I will explain why the architect almost faced execution, the secret meaning behind the "Blue" tiles, and how it was built to rival the Hagia Sophia. .
