Hello everyone! I am Maite, I am from the Canary Islands and one of my activities is that of Official Tourism Guide. I am passionate about traveling, languages, gastronomy, history and the natural environment, hiking, discovering and sharing significant experiences. I am in love with my Canary Islands, especially Gran Canaria, the land where I was born and where I live, and also with Lille, a city in the north of France, near the border with Belgium, which I visited on a hot summer day, and where For love, I spend a few seasons a year. Are you visiting Gran Canaria these days, one of the eight wonderful Canary Islands?
I offer you the unique and memorable experience of coming to know Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, specifically its historic founding neighborhoods of Vegueta and Triana, both and respectively National Historical Artistic Complex and Asset of cultural interest and its unique history. Both, origin of the first population center of the city, from the last third of the 15th century.
Embark on an exciting journey through time in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria! For two exciting hours, I will guide you through the rich history, culture and legacy of the city, its ancient origins and settlers and its history starting in 1483, the time of the Royalenga Conquest.
As we stroll through the cobblestone streets of the old town, you will learn how The City became an important strategic port on the route to the New World. In addition, you will immerse yourself in its history and learn about some pirate episodes that marked its future, its culture and its people , the traditions inherited from its ancestors, the traditional and modern architecture.
We will also remember figures from Canarian literature who have left their mark , as well as some of the products of its gastronomy that are worth knowing so as not to leave without delighting in it.

Our tour begins in the Plaza de San Antonio Abad , visiting the Historic-Artistic Complex of Vegueta and we continue towards the Triana area , ending in the SanTelmo park.

- We have a minimum of 2 people for this tour and a maximum of 12 to provide a more personalized treatment, please pay attention to the messages or contact and ask if it is necessary to comment on the number of attendees.
- It is advisable to take the Tour at the beginning of your stay on the island and this way I will be able to recommend many places to visit throughout the Island .
- Please reserve if possible one day in advance or at least 5 hours. If it is less, on the same day, please wait to talk to me to confirm
- Our Walkers are asked to leave a contact telephone number when making the reservation in order to quickly resolve any unforeseen event that may arise and/or report adverse situations that prevent the tour from taking place - we will communicate via WhatsApp.
- Please pay attention, therefore, to the messages from Guruwalk, or on the telephone number provided by the Walker, as they will be the means of communication and to resolve or ask questions.
- It is recommended to wear appropriate and comfortable shoes for walking around the city and some water for the walk. If it is summer and hot, it is recommended to wear a hat and if it is expected to rain, an umbrella and/or raincoat.

- Nos randonneurs sont priés de laisser un numéro de téléphone de contact lors de la réservation afin que nous puissions résoudre rapidement toute circonstance imprévue qui pourrait survenir et/ou signaler toute situation défavorable qui pourrait empêcher le déroulement de l'excursion - nous communiquerons par WhatsApp.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
