Old City: between legends, loves and ghosts
Tour description
Discover what no one tells you...
Did you know that some original keys to A Coruña are kept in a distant castle?
Or that some places in the Old City hold secrets of lost loves, ghosts, and legends that are only within the reach of the researcher?
This is not a data tour.
It is a walk through the secret soul of the city.
A route full of curiosities, hidden stories, and forgotten figures who once walked these same streets and lived stories worth telling.
The tour will be exclusively outdoors (except on Saturdays, when we'll enter the San Antón Castle). We'll walk through the labyrinthine streets of Hercules's old town and see the following sites:
- San Antón Castle (meeting point)
*Tours held on Saturdays include a visit to the castle's interior, so the tour duration is extended by half an hour.
The rest of the days, the visit is exclusively outside.
- St. Michael's Gate
- Garden of San Carlos
- House of Rowing
- Dominican Square
- Barbaras Square
- Collegiate Church of Santa María
- Cornide House
- Synagogue Street
- Rosalía de Castro's House
- Constitution Square
- Azcárraga Square
- Church of Santiago
- Emilia Pardo Bazán's House
- María Pita Square
- St. George's Church (end of tour)
Each of these places holds an anecdote, a secret or a legend.
It'll be a fun and interesting hike. So rain or shine... the visit will be unforgettable!
