I am a Historian and an English teacher. I am also a certified tour guide and I have been working in Florianópolis for over 8 years. I've lived abroad in the USA, Belgium and Colombia, so, in addition to Portuguese, I speak English, French and Spanish. I was lucky enough to participate in many bike tours, walking tours and guided trails while traveling the world and these experiences are great inspirations and references for my work. I'm looking forward to showing you around!
Embark on an adventure to explore the Natural Park of Lagoinha do Leste. Enjoy the Island’s most paradisiac beach and experience the city’s natural postcard. Learn about the Atlantic Forest and take home fantastic photographs and incredible memories!
At the indicated time, we will meet at the "Bar do Arante" in Pântando do Sul, and from there, we will walk to the starting point of this trail through Lagoinha do Leste Natural Park to start our adventure.
Before we start the hike, the guide will show us pictures of animals and plants that we may see on the way through the park, such as monkeys, toucans, and the clown-face orchid. Will we find them all?
Then, we will begin this trail that will take us toward "Crown Hill." As we walk, the guide will tell us important facts about the Atlantic Forest. After approximately an hour and a half, we will reach the top, where we will be able to enjoy the view and take lots of photos at "the Surfer's Rock," a famous postcard of Florianópolis.
Afterward, we will begin the descent of the hill to reach Lagoinha do Leste beach, where you can enjoy this incredible natural setting to swim, sunbathe, or rest.
Finally, we will walk another hour and fifteen minutes to return to the starting point. In total, we will walk around 6 kilometers on a moderate-level trail. We will finish the trail through the park, arriving back at the meeting point.
I will be in front of the entrance of the bar at Pântano do Sul beach. I will be wearing a tour guide credential card around their neck.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
