Tour description

Shinjuku may be the first place you visit in Tokyo. Shinjuku station is the busiest station in the world — It holds the official Guinness World Record at around 3.6 million passengers per day!

There are several areas around the station. You can enjoy all kinds of shopping, many restaurants and cafes to satisfy your taste buds, nightlife around Kabukicho, and small bars in Golden Gai. There is also Nichome, which is the LGBTQ+ hub.

Walkers must walk about 8000 steps.

The tour was a little too rushed and ended an hour early, so instead of the 3 hours stated, it ended at the 2 hour mark. This is partly due to not having enough variety in length and not enough stops. The starting location was also not accurate, so make sure to use the messaging system to find the host!

Our guide was very friendly and chose great locations to show us. We wish his English was more clear (maybe in Japanese his tour is much more clear, but we couldn’t understand a lot of his explanations). He also took us to many interesting places with lots of walking and it would be great to learn more about Tokyo and different neighborhoods, history and traditions while walking from one location to another.
