Enigmatic reminiscences of Communism

May I invite you to experience the decayed glory of communism?

Walking among the epitomical monuments and cenotaphs is really an ultimate way of a freaky time traveling. (Memento Park)

Switching towards the enigmatic mountains of Buda, we come across a unique local narrow-gauge railway system controlled by children. Still a living part of the communist heritage railway fans may brave embarking on.

Alongside we perform a nice short walk following the path of the Normafa forest over food and drink pavilions. An excellent occasion for a relaxed walk under the shadows of the trees.

These spots are out of town and are not stressed by over-tourism.
This tour needs 4 hours. We travel by my minibus.

The entrance fee of the museum is your cost of 3000 HUF (appr. 7.5 EUR). FREE ENTRY WITH A VALID BUDAPEST CARD!
Ticket to the children's railway is 1000 HUF (appr. 2.5 EURO). Railway is off on Monday but we check out the central station.

The tour lasts 4 hours

Hello, I'm Tamas. I set up my tour profile to show off some of the concealed solitaires of Buda side. I am up to make known the covered details of history beyond the main attractions. The walks are conducted at a slow speed & I always try to tailor it to your needs & interests. Happen we alter the track to see additional spots. My study background is language science & business science in the UK with curiosity about XXth century history. We may set the course of our conversation to many directions: fine wines, languages, Cold War radio stations, impacts of Communism on civil life, local pubs & cafés in the area.
