Budapest secret mini statues walk: a glance into history, culture and art of Hungary
Forget traditional tours with long speeches and endless dates.
In this walk, we explore both Buda and Pest differently through its smallest and most playful details.
Hidden across the city, tiny bronze statues by artist Mihály Kolodko are quietly watching everyday life. Most people walk right past them. But once you start noticing them, you begin to see Budapest in a completely new way.
As we visit the tiny pieces of art, let me give you a deep dive into Hungary's
- history, without the boredom
- culture, without clichés
- art and way of thinking.
As we search for them together, we’ll pass by the city’s most iconic landmarks -Parliament, Liberty square, the Chain Bridge, St. Stephen's Basilica, and more. We also cross the Danube on the Chain Bridge to give you the greatest panorama and a glimpse into the Buda side as well. We will finish the tour at Széll Kálmán tér from where you can take a bus or walk up to the Buda Castle.
If you’re curious, enjoy discovering hidden details, and want to understand Budapest and Hungary beyond the surface, this walk is for you.
The tour is about 6 km so bring comfy shoes, sun screen, umbrella, or anything that is necessary. We will have a short pause about half way.
The tour lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes
Available in English and French

Guiding since 2026Hi, I’m Dominik 👋
I’m originally from Budapest, Hungary and have spent the past years studying and working on 3 continents, but everytime I came back to this beautiful city, I just appreciated more and more, and this became my motivation to show this wonderful capital to as many people as possible.
I’ve always been drawn to stories, history and geography. I will be happy to introduce you to how Hungary works, how people think, and what makes this city unique.
I speak English, French and German and will do my best to offer you an interactive atmosphere where you can ask questions, share impressions, and really connect with the place you’re visiting.
For me, it’s about offering you a glimpse into our culture and history while experiencing Budapest in a personal, curious, and fun way.
