The "Must-Do" Walk in the City Center with Danube Panorama along the Promenade
Description
Visitors gain insight into the history of the city, particularly into the 19th century, a magnificent era for the capital. The route starts at Eötvös Square/Hotel Intercontinental, goes along the Danube promenade, past the Redoute to Vörösmarty Square (to the historic center of downtown) and along the pedestrian zone Váci Street, up to the Elisabeth Bridge. During the walk, we admire the view of the Danube, and guests hear lesser-known, interesting legends and stories about the bourgeois life of past centuries, the monuments, and the most beautiful buildings of this district. The tour ends at Petőfi Square, in the immediate vicinity of the Elisabeth Bridge. The sights are viewed from the outside, and entrance fees are not included. Shopping for Hungarian souvenirs is possible after the walk.
