Essential Free walking tours of Budapest

I have done a lot of walking tours, but this takes the cake. This is an outstanding walking tour! Our guide Robert was professional, informative, friendly, and entertaining. He had a wealth of knowledge and was clearly passionate to share everything he knew about Budapest with us. Our group was large and the heat of the day was testing, however Robert guided us with care and consideration. He easily moved us into the shade or rerouted when we were hot, and was sensitive when discussing emotional or triggering history/topics. Budapest has such a challenging and diverse history that I was surprised and intrigued by. We touched on politics, WWII, pop culture, food, and religion. It was a fantastically rounded tour, and Robert was on of the most accomplished guides I’ve encountered. 10/10!

The tour was by far the best we’ve had in Budapest. Robert has given us many an insight into Hungarian history, culture and tradition. I particularly enjoyed his deep knowledge of history and attention to detail. Personal stories of individual people he told touched me deeply. Along the way, we discovered so many peculiarities — hidden corners, quirky facts, and moving memorials — that I now feel I know Budapest intimately. A truly enriching experience.

The best walking tour i have had. Robert takes more than extra efforts for this tour. I have never seen a guide offer good fun presents like chocolates or pub crawls for giving right answers or completing treasure hunt tasks. Would definitely recommend any1 reading this to try his tour.

Robert did a phantastic tour. He knows a lot about history, politics and entertainment, and has an inspiring and serious or funny (depending on the topic) way to inform all of the group. He also involved us by e.g. asking questions or making a quiz. Robert’s tour was the best I’ve ever been on and I don’t say this lightly considering I’ve done 15+ tours including one other free walking your of Budapest. He’s funny, charming, super engaging and hands down the best person for an introduction to the city.
