My tour was with Tara, he was a fantastic guide with many stories of the history of Yogyakarta and tidbits about the Javanese culture. Bravo.

Pushpa was amazing, she kept the walk going even in heavy rain with lots of interesting stories of past and current Yogyakarta. She even got an umbrella just in case and kept everything interactive, getting us to try so many things. Thank you for telling us about your story and your home. We learnt a lot:)

It was our first trip to Indonesia and one of our stops was the ancient city and Yogyakarta, the spiritual and cultural capital of Java. On Day 1 of our stay we took an evening tour of the city center and our guide was Aynun. Over a few hours we walked along the famous Malioboro Street, the heart of the city. Thanks to Aynun's personality and knowledge we learnt a lot about the Sultanate and the City and the rich local culture, art and traditions. The Sultan's Palace is closed in the evenings but Aynun fed us with background and tips for our next day visit. All strongly recommended. Iva and Alex

We had a fun time with our guide Puspa! She guided us to the most important places of Yogyakarta, mainly Malioboro Street. We learned a lot about Yogyakarta's culture as well as the local cuisine. We also good recommendations for food spots which turned out really good in the end. Puspa also warned us about the local scam strategies which we already had experienced. Don't overpay at the local art exhibitions ;)

We enjoyed the tour a lot even if it was heavily raining. We can recommend the tour an Ainun.

We had ha wonderful time with our tour guide Tara. It was only our group of three + Tara. It felt very relaxed and he was really engaged all the time. He ended up spending more than three hours with us showing us around town and bringing us to the best places for Bakpia, and Lumpia. Highly recommend!

You can learn just so much about the local culture and food from the tour! Definitely worth an afternoon exploring the city with Tara :)

Lots of interesting facts and information about the city and Pushpa was very open, friendly and protective of her guests. She'll also share important local scams which unfortunately we had already fell for so letting anyone who read this to know not to go visit the "last day" of a batik exhibition from students across the country. It's not true and they are charging outrageous prices for the batik so don't do it.

We had a fun and informative tour and was a great way to start our trip in Yogyakarta. Puspa took us to some lovely local places and shops and gave us a detailed history including the culture and food of the area. She also gave us a heads up about local scams, which after 2 minutes of leaving her were proven to be true.
