I'm a curious person who likes to understand places by walking through them. I'm not a historian or archaeologist. This tour simply stems from exploring the mountains, getting lost in the Serralada de Marina, and starting to wonder what came before all this: who lived here, why they chose these places, and how the landscape has changed to this day. Over time, that curiosity has led me to discover layers of history right in front of us, but which usually go unnoticed: ancient Iberian settlements (6th–2nd centuries BC), prehistoric remains from over 4,000 years ago, rural hermitages from the 17th and 18th centuries, and medieval monasteries like Sant Jeroni de la Murtra (15th century). This tour isn't a history lesson. It's a walk through nature as we gradually come to understand the land, with a curious and unhurried perspective. We start in the city and gradually ascend towards the mountains, connecting landscapes, views, and anecdotes that help us understand how this place has been inhabited for thousands of years. I like the groups to be small, allowing time to observe, ask questions, and pause when something catches our eye. It's not about memorizing anything, but about truly appreciating what's right in front of us. If you enjoy hiking, nature, and discovering places through curiosity rather than theory, this tour is probably for you.
