Discover Kampala: Walk with Us, Empower Women, and Transform Lives
In Uganda, high unemployment and gender inequality continue to limit opportunities for many, especially young women. At the heart of our walking tours is a mission to change that. By joining our women-guided experiences on GuruWalk, you’re not just exploring the vibrant streets of Kampala—you’re helping create real, lasting change.
Too many girls in Uganda are forced to compromise their safety just to survive. Early pregnancies and child marriages are often the result of poverty and lack of opportunity. But through dignified, meaningful employment—like guiding tours—we’re rewriting that narrative. Every step you take with us helps a young woman stand taller, dream bigger, and build a better future.
Why choose our tours?
Because they are more than just walks—they’re a movement. Led by passionate, knowledgeable local women, our tours offer an authentic glimpse into Kampala’s culture, history, and spirit. And your support helps us fight discrimination, break the cycle of poverty, and inspire the next generation of female leaders.
Travel with purpose. Walk for change.
Book your Kampala tour today and become part of a growing community that believes in equality, empowerment, and ethical travel. Together, we can make Uganda safer, stronger, and more inclusive—one empowering journey at a time.
Sehr empfehlenswert mit vielen spannenden und für Frischlinge in Uganda wichtigen Infos. Zu Fuss sieht man vieles und von Nahem.
It felt like a market walk meeting the guides friends. We don't feel we learned much on the tour about Kampala. We've taken over 50 walking tours globally and this was our least favourite. The guide was nice and helped us to shop but other than that we would not recommend. The guide also asked for a tip after the owner had whatsapped us saying there's a minimum price. (This is not stated when you book) We paid this and then they asked for more as a tip.
Very positive experience with Habib as our guide taking us to visit places of interest in Kampala.
Zayna did an amazing job! Very knowledgeable and kind
