I am a San Franciscan through and through! My family landed here about 1890 and generations have lived and loved here ever since. As a fourth generation local, I was born and raised in the bay area, spent much of my early years in San Francisco and now am thrilled every day for the last 28 years to wake up every day in this beautiful city!
As a past entertainer, singer, and current culinary instructor, I'm excellent at telling a story in an engaging and colorful way, and being a history buff (with my favorite subject being San Francisco) I'll work hard to make sure you enjoy your time with me.
Mark was amazing! He kept the tour fun, shared a lot of tips to follow through later and even walked along with me back to the bustop before I jumped to the next location
I really enjoyed this tour - it was much more meaningful than I had expected! I live in San Francisco and did the tour with my mom as a gift to her. So, I went into it thinking, “I live here, so I’m just on this tour for my mom.” WELP! I learned so much and felt more connected to my community. I’ll be back for more guru walks as a local! (And for the record, my out-of-town mom loved it too!)
It was really amazing to learn about the street art culture and history of Mission District of San Francisco. We also got great tips about local favorites.
