I am Morgan, Parisian born and raised , I really enjoy living in Paris, and make other people discover my city. I am passionate about history and anecdotes. I am first and foremost a city dweller, and love all the hidden secrets and simple pleasures available in a huge and culturally rich city like Paris.
We like seeing parts of the city that are not necessarily on everyone's top ten list. We have learned that a walking tour is a far superior way to get a quick but authentic view of a city than those Hop On and Hop Off bus rides. This tour took us through important historical parts of Paris where the oldest, still standing churches in Paris can be found, and see the cafes where big personalities like Queen Elizabeth, Ernest Hemingway, and Simone de Beauvoir and her rowdy, but intellectual crowd used to hang out. Morgan, our guide, knows the ins and outs of Paris and not only took us around St. Germain and the Latin Quarter but also gave us a complete list of places to visit not otherwise promoted in popular blogs and online searches. Great to see the back streets and hidden places
I have always enjoyed doing walking tour in a city. This is my second time booking a walking tour with Guruwalk as my last experience in Santiago was great. Morgan was at the meeting point early. There were 6 of us in the group. 5 of them were French but it wasn't an issue as Morgan was very good in ensuring that he explained in English and French such that I don't missed out anything. He has a good sense of humour and I really enjoyed listening to him telling us about the history of Paris St Germain. He also shared tips with us about places to go for chocolates, pastries etc. Overall, it was a very enjoyable 2 hours walk with Morgan and if he conducts other types of tours in Paris, I will definitely want to join him for it.
