Arpit war ein großartiger Guide – dank ihm konnten wir Delhi trotz unseres kurzen Aufenthalts intensiv erleben. Wir hatten nur einen 17-stündigen Stopover in Delhi und entschieden uns deshalb für eine private Tour mit unserer 5-köpfigen Gruppe. Leider wurde gleich zu Beginn der Tour einem Mitglied unserer Gruppe das Handy gestohlen (Hinweis: Wertsachen am besten körpernah tragen). Auch wenn Arpit dafür natürlich nicht verantwortlich war, hat er sich sofort um alles gekümmert: Er ist mit uns zur Polizei gefahren, hat den Vorfall gemeldet und uns während der gesamten Zeit unterstützt. Man hat gemerkt, wie sehr ihn das persönlich getroffen hat. Obwohl die Tourzeit nach dem langen Aufenthalt bei der Polizei eigentlich vorbei war, hat Arpit uns kurzerhand spontan noch seine beiden persönlichen Highlights in Delhi gezeigt – mit dem Tuk-Tuk, ganz unkompliziert. Für die restliche Tour und selbst die Fahrten wollte er am Ende kein Geld annehmen, da ihm unser Erlebnis wirklich am Herzen lag. Ein Guide, dem das Wohl seiner Gäste wichtiger ist als alles andere – absolute Empfehlung!
We had an amazing experience with Arpit and I would recommend him to anyone interested in seeing "behind the scenes" of the busy streets. We were very impressed with Arpits knowledge of the area, religion and history and he is obviously well known and liked (not surprising as he was born there) which meant that we were welcomed into temples and buildings well off the normal tourist map that we would never have known existed, let alone enter. It was a very authentic tour.
I recently joined the "Old Delhi Odyssey" tour with Arpit, and it was amazing! He was a great guide, sharing interesting stories at Lal Quila and the Sikh gurdwara, which was inspiring to visit. The street food in Chandni Chowk was tasty, and I felt safe trying everything thanks to his tips. The spice market was full of amazing smells, and the rickshaw ride through the busy streets was so much fun. I highly recommend this tour for a real Delhi experience!
