Hi everyone ! My name is Fernando, born in Portugal but living in Amsterdam for the last seven years. I’m a history lover, backpacker and a food enthusiast! I’ve been working as a guide all around The Netherlands and Belgium for the last three years, and I have an extended experience traveling with large groups of people from all over the world. In a few words I describe myself as: charismatic, caring, a bit crazy and a knowledgeable story teller.
A worthwhile and informative tour. We learned do much more than expected, interesting facts and figures of Amsterdam and the Netherlands . A good strategy of paying what you feel, after the tour ends. If you have a knowledgeable guide you are more generous, if not so good, you give less. We had Fernando and he was wonderful .
Fernando went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time despite the rainy and cold weather conditions. He provided interesting historical details both about old and new Amsterdam. It added depth and richness to our exploration of the city, Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, Fernando’s enthusiasm, humor, and intelligence truly made the experience unforgettable. We appreciated Fernando’s efforts to find sheltered areas during the rain showers. Everyone was engaged, interested and entertained. I certainly recommending this tour to everyone, who visits Amsterdam.
We were totally blindsighted. Guide walked us straight through Red Light District. We had children with us! It's one thing to talk about it but another to experience it. The guide should have offered guests an alternate route to meet back up with the group. "Go down this parallel street and meet the group by the church in 5 minutes!" Epic fail!
Fernando was a thoughtful, funny and thorough guide. I knew I might learn a lot about Amsterdam by taking a walking tour, and I did. But I was pleasantly surprised to meet great people and have good conversation as well. Fernando was ready to help with any questions the group had, and even was able to seamlessly adjust the tour to get us through a spot of rain. He even told us where to get the best tomato soup you’ll ever have (no, I’m not saying where. Take the tour and find out!). Well worth the time if you want to do a walking tour through this marvelous city.
Tour was good and our guide Fernando was great.
