Hi, I'm Twaha a local English speaking tourist guide born and raised in Uganda. I've traveled and guided all around Uganda for more than 5 years. I Am a bachelor's holder in tourism and hospitality which makes me capable of handling all people from all walks of the world. I provide many services like city tours on motorbikes, foot, private cars, safaris, day trips, and cultural tours.
Sarah took me to beautiful sights of Kampala. She made sure I get very good impressions of the daily life in Kampala and also introduced me to local food and street food (the rolex was the best experience). She had answers to all my questions and gave me a lot of information about the history of places and the country as well as on the culture, kingdoms and recent developments. I would always chose to walk with Sarah again.
I had a great day with Sara. She happily adjusted to the changes I had to make in my itinerary. Looking forward to another tour w Sara!🌻
I honestly did not expect to have such a perfect afternoon in Kampala out of all places I've visited in East Africa. Serah and I met at the mosque where we started the tour. She took me through different markets downtown and to other remarkable places in the city all the while feeling very safe and well taken care of in her presence. She also showed me her favorite coffee place which ai immediately had to try (get the cardamom and ginger cappuccino at CJ's). She's very knowledgeable about the city and beyond and the history of different East African countries. I had such a great time with her it felt more like being shown around the city by a friend than "just a guide". Thank you!
Coming from a Southeast Asian city, I found downtown Kampala to be intense, chaotic, and overwhelming in a way I’d never experienced before. But Twaha turned that potential anxiety into one of my best decisions during my visit. I was lucky enough to be his only guest that afternoon, so it felt like a private tour. We covered every spot Twaha proposed—plus my own request to try local food. We ended up having lunch at Owino Market, eating like locals among the crowd. It was truly one of my favorite moments in Uganda! Another highlight was diving deep into the bustle of Owino, the city’s biggest market. Twaha even encouraged me to walk in front, so I could feel a bit like a solo traveler while still having his guidance and security. The result? A crazy, intense, and unforgettable experience. Throughout the walk, Twaha was incredibly informative, sharing everything from modern-day Kampala life to the history dating back to Uganda’s kingdoms. Starting at the National Mosque’s minaret was perfect for a visual person like me—seeing the city from above while learning its background helped me piece everything together. He has been guiding visitors since 2016, so he’s definitely an expert—and yet he never seems to tire of explaining everything with genuine passion to each guest. He also communicated tipping guidelines right after my booking. And, honestly, it’s well worth it. Exploring the organized chaos of downtown Kampala is a must—and doing it with Twaha is something I’m proud of and will never regret. Highly recommended!
We toured Kampala with Twaha and it was a very good choice. The information he gave us was of quality, he answered our questions, he helped us with local purchases, he was attentive to our safety and we were definitely able to tour without feeling at risk. We concluded that without him it would have been difficult to visit certain places. We also took a tour with him to see gorillas and chimpanzees. He is definitely a great friend and companion! We are delighted to meet him and grateful for all his support! We highly recommend him! Gracias!!!! Twaha! 😀😀😀
