Born and bred on the sun-drenched islands of Malta, I've spent a lifetime exploring its rich layers of history. With 20 years working inside Malta's museums and a lifelong passion for storytelling, I offer tours that go far beyond the guidebook. A brief time living abroad made me appreciate Malta's charm, warmth, and complexity even more — and I'm here to share that deep love with you. Whether you want to know about the famous Knights of Malta, discuss the ravages of WWII or get to know what us locals like to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I'll show you Malta not just as a licensed tour guide, but as someone who calls it home.
A very well delivered tour by Maria, a local guide who lives and works in Malta. Maria has an indepth knowlege of the history, culture and customs of the islands. She is a true student of Malta. The tour worked perfectly to the schedule and on time. It's great to be taken quickly to those hidden areas of Valletta that you might not otherwise see. Please note that I was only able to leave this review, after booking through GuruWalks, by downloading the GuruWalks app. The usual GuruWalks post tour email did not cone through, hence the reason why you may see a limited number of reviews for Maria.
Maria was great, very professional, very savvy, on pioint. Really enjoyed the tour despite the size of the group. Did not feel like we were such a big group, she was very engaged and had a lot to tell. Highly recommendable.
It was excellent! Maria is a guide who lead us smoothe throw the city with plenty but no boring information. I reccomend it!
Maria is very professional and knowledgeable guide. Also, she has presented the tour in so interesting way and with lot of humour. We recommend Maria's tour to everyone who comes in Malta for the first time and who wants to learn interesting things about it's past and present life.
The tour was informative and brought further to light how and why Malta is the it is today. Lovely experience.
