Hello! My name is Jax and I'm a professional tour guide who's lived in Munich since 2016.
Over the years, I worked for two of the best tour agencies in Munich as a freelancer and in March 2021, I started my own tour company 'Heart of Munich Tours'.
Over the years I've received hundreds of five-star reviews across Tripadvisor, Google, Getyourguide, Viator, Guruwalk and other platforms. My free tour is also currently the highest rated in Munich across multiple platforms!
My guiding style is interactive, passionate, clear spoken, inclusive, fun and at times theatrical. I always bring my tablet on tour to share old photos and pictures to bring history to life.

I joined the walking tour on my very first day in Munich. It was quite a last-minute decision to sign up, but it turned out to be one of the best choices I made—it gave me a quick and insightful introduction to the city. Patrick was an excellent guide—well-prepared and thoughtful. Before the tour, he even sent us an email confirming the meeting point, which I really appreciated since it was my first time in Munich and that extra information helped put me at ease. He was friendly and attentive to everyone’s needs. I especially liked that he timed the tour so we arrived at Marienplatz just in time to watch the Rathaus-Glockenspiel performance, which added a special touch to the experience. Patrick was very knowledgeable about the city’s history and shared a lot of useful and interesting information. The pace of the tour was relaxed and comfortable, and he created a welcoming, easygoing atmosphere throughout. I also appreciated how observant and considerate he was with the group. I highly recommend joining this tour at the beginning of your trip to Munich—it’s a fantastic way to start your visit!!
Nice tour. It did not involve a lot of walking and Munich is very flat.
Jax was a fantastic guru! An interesting route around the old town, a great appreciation for context and history, and Jax was an amazing storyteller! If you’re looking to get to know Munich, go for this tour.
The guide was amazing, he was very knowledgeable. He made it really fun and was genuinely interested In all the people in the tour chatting to us all. He helped with restaurant recommendations and clearly loves the city. I always recommend free walking tours to people visiting city's, if you visit Munich this is a must.
