I was very pleased with this tour. This was my first time in Israel and I was hoping for a combination of history and general knowledge along with help in getting my bearings geographically. David was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and personable, and he used maps, pictures and anecdotes as helpful memory tools. I was particularly fascinated by the story of the Montefiore husband and wife who, in the 19th century, played such an incredible role in reaching out to the Jewish poor, creating decent housing for them, and getting them to conquer their fears and come out of their underground dwellings. I would definitely recommend this tour with David. I came away having learned so much!

The whole tour was really nice! I particularly highlight the personal connections: how Emmanuel introduced us to local characters he had some personal connection with. Those made the tour really special!

Gary ‘THE’ guide as people would call him, was very professional. Arrived on time at the meeting place, was very knowledgeable, and his facts and opinions were actually very very interesting. The tour lasted more like 3hours. If it was just doing it, I dont think i would know any of the history of jerusalem.
