This was my first time with Nine Tours, and Tejas was my guide. He is a very well behaved person and has a lot of fun facts about the places on the route. He also has amazing eateries suggestions which can come in handy for any food enthusiast.

I was the only guest on my tour with Sanjay so I had a rather personally tailored experience. I cannot praise Sanjay more highly and was the most interesting by far of the various guides I used during my stay in Mumbai. He knows a huge amount about the City including its historians is happy to share all his knowledge. Try to get Sanjay for your tour.

Tejas was a brilliant guide! There was constant communication before the tour started. He took us everywhere, keeping us safe whilst crossing roads and cool in the heat His english is fantastic. We were so comfortable around him and he was able to answer all our questions. He was honest and we really appreciated that. He gave us lots of food recommendations during and after the tour. Genuinely one of the best tour guides we've had.

He doesn’t just show the main tourist attractions—he takes the time to explain the history, the different architectural styles, and how Mumbai has evolved over time, which really brings everything to life. What makes the tour even more special is his ability to go beyond the usual routes. He introduces you to the local side of the city and highlights the striking contrasts of Mumbai, between tradition and modernity, wealth and simplicity. Sanjay is also incredibly adaptable. He listens carefully, answers every question thoughtfully, and tailors the tour based on your interests and preferences. You can tell he genuinely wants to create a personal and meaningful experience. It was a fascinating, enriching, and very human experience. Honestly, how could you not fall in love with Mumbai when discovering it with Sanjay? Highly recommended!

Wir hatten eine ausgezeichnete Führung in einer kleinen Gruppe zu siebt. Begonnen haben wir mit einer Zugfahrt zum Stand, wo wir mehrere köstliche, vegetarischeKleinigkeiten probiert haben. Geendet hat die wunderschöne Tour beim fantastischen Eisladen des Taj-Icecream-Wallas, dessen Laden schon seit 1887 existiert.

We had a wonderful, almost private walking tour with our fantastic guide, Siddesh. Thanks to the off-season, it felt like a truly personal experience, as there were only three of us. Despite his young age, Siddesh shared deep insights into Dharavi — its daily life, hardworking families, and diverse small businesses. The tour was both informative and adventurous, giving us a glimpse into a place we could never have explored on our own. It offered a meaningful perspective on how Mumbai functions through the efforts of all its residents.

Shivam was very nice, funny and very knowledgable tour guide! He explained and entertained us during the tour! The places were chosen were very particular, depicting busy, daily life of Mumbai.

Kale was very professional and friendly. The tour was very rich in history and information yet very interesting and entertaining and we got to exchange conversations and points pf view on different topics while covering Mumbai south’s main points. I totally recommend!

We did the slum walking tour in Mumbai and it was a great experience. Before going, we were a bit unsure because we didn’t want to take part in something that felt like a “poverty tour,” but the approach is completely different. Our guide, Balaji, was excellent. He was very kind and attentive from beginning to end, he even walked with us afterward to make sure we could safely get our Uber. What really made the experience special was the local perspective he shared. You can clearly feel his genuine connection to the place, which makes everything much more authentic. Instead of focusing on the negative stereotypes often associated with these communities, the tour highlights the strong sense of community and the real daily life of the people who live there. We could learn about how things work, especially the small businesses and the recycling system that exists there. Of course, it is a different lifestyle from what many of us are used to, but that is exactly what makes the experience so interesting and enriching. We were also surprised by how organized many aspects of daily life are. If you are hesitating because you are worried it might feel exploitative or uncomfortable, don’t be. That is not the spirit of this tour. It is a genuine opportunity to learn and better understand the local reality. I highly recommend it. It was an excellent experience, largely thanks to our guide Balaji.

We had the pleasure of doing the walking tour with Meet on Feb 21st. It was a wonderful experience. It’s a great way to see Mumbai and meet had a wealth of knowledge to share. He has a great zest for life and truly enjoys giving these tours. He was very helpful with providing recommendation and helping us bargain with street vendors when we were shopping for Knick knacks. I highly recommend Meet if you are interested in learning the history of this great city, Mumbai!
