Hi, I'm Francesca! I am 32 years old and a year ago I live in this small but charming Italian city of the Veneto region. I am a professional in tourism, i am passionate about traveling, art, history and culture, but above all to meet people and discover the secrets of each place. My adventures have taken me to places as remote as Australia, Fiji Islands, all of Southeast Asia, India, Nepal and the whole old continent, but I felt in love with Padua. So this time I would like you to come with me to show you what things to see in Padua!

Tour description

Padua, known for being the city of San Antonio de Padua, besides its churches and cathedrals, also houses other charming places. Did you know that it is an university city, and that it was here that the first woman in the world was titled as a graduate? For these curious facts, and many other things, I invite you to join me on this tour, and let me show you what to see in Padua.

Our tour will begin in front of the Basilica of San Antonio de Padua, built between 1238 and 1310. We will also pass through the Scrovegni Chapel, there I will tell you the story of Giotto's frescoes !. We will continue through the square Pratto della Valle, known for being one of the largest in Europe with more than 90,000 square meters! We will visit the University of Padua, you will be surprised to learn that Galileo Galilei and Nicolaus Copernicus studied here. We will go to the Café Pedrocchi, the oldest coffee in the city, and where you can take, if you wish, an authentic Italian coffee. Finally, I will leave you at the Botanical Garden of Padua, which has been declared a World Heritage Site! I will be happy to be your guru in this city, and to enjoy those things to see in Padua ... come with me!
