Strolling through the Medina
We'll meet at the Hotel Islane , located opposite the Koutoubia Mosque, to begin our journey through the heart of Marrakech. From here, we'll immerse ourselves in the city's history and daily life.

- 🏰 The Koutoubia : The largest mosque in Marrakech, famous for its impressive minaret and its history.
- 🏡 The Laksour neighborhood : A charming district full of riads and narrow streets that reflect authentic Moroccan life. The Seven Curves neighborhood : One of the oldest, founded in the 11th century.
- 🕌 Moulay Laksour Mausoleum : We will see the exterior of this sacred patron saint of the city.
- ⛲ Mouassine Quarter : Known for its historic 16th-century fountain and lively atmosphere. 🔥 Medina Wood-Fired Ovens : Centuries-old bakeries where bread and other products are still cooked in the traditional way. 🛁 Traditional Hammam : A glimpse into Moroccan bathing culture, a relaxing experience and an essential part of local life.
- 🛍️ Marrakech Grand Souk : A stroll through the most traditional markets, where you'll find dyers, copper and bronze artisans, blacksmiths, and the famous leather auctions.
- 📖 The Ben Youssef Madrasa (exterior) : One of the largest and most prestigious Quranic schools in the Islamic world, boasting impressive architecture. We will admire its surroundings, including the mosque, the library, and the Almoravid dome.
- 🎭 Andalusian Quarter and its secrets : We will explore Riad Zitoune Jdid (new Andalusian quarter) and Riad Zitoun Laqdim (old Andalusian quarter).
- 🏛️ Bahia Palace (exterior) : A symbol of Moroccan architecture, built in the 19th century as a residence for the great leaders of the time.
- ✡️ Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and Spice Souk : A fascinating part of the city with its well-preserved Jewish history and a vibrant spice market. An area full of history and aromas.
- 🌿 El Badii Square : Surrounded by the remains of the majestic Badii Palace, an architectural gem of the Saadi dynasty. A vibrant spot with local essence.
- 🎡 Jemaa el-Fna Square : The vibrant heart of Marrakech, where music, snake charmers and food stalls create a unique atmosphere.
- At the end of the tour, there is an optional shopping stop at a traditional herbalist shop . This visit lasts approximately 20-25 minutes. Travelers who do not wish to participate may end the tour at that time.
Important Notes:
- Exterior visits : Entry to the mentioned monuments is not permitted.
- Religious holidays : The tour does not operate during the Feast of the Breakfast or the Feast of the Sacrifice. Dates of religious holidays 2026. The exact date of the holiday will only be known 24 hours in advance.
- IMPORTANT: During the month of Ramadan, the duration of the afternoon tour will be 2 hours and 45 minutes instead of the usual 3 and a half hours (it does not reach the Bahia Palace or the Jewish quarter, the Mellah).
- Time difference : Make sure your watch is set, as for example during Ramadan we may have a time difference with Spain.
