Born and raised in the medina (historic center) of Tunis I have been driving throughout the Tunisian territory for more than 30 years ... driving people is a passion for me I love to discover the secrets of my city both the modern and the ancient part I like to share the daily newspaper of the inhabitant of the medina also divides a very Tunisian lunch that cannot be found outside a typical Berber Arab house .... I'm sure you will be very happy
The tour begins at the Porta del Mare , a kind of border between past and present, between old and new. From this gate one has an idea of the modern part of the city , where the French, Italians, Spaniards, Maltese, etc. lived.
These include Dar Lasram, Dar Hussein, Dar Mohsen, Dar Daouletli, Dar el Jeld and these are just a few examples of the many palaces we visit... as well as Celtic sites, one of the oldest mosques in the Muslim world, the Ezzituna Mosque and many other spirituals from later times, locally called Zaouïa, where sex asks for mercy and helps to walk through this medina to discover the souks (each souk specializes in certain products).
Thus we discover the rich variety of colors of both the products and the beautiful doors of the medina with the symbol of great color and green indicating the strength of a spiritual place, etc.
Finally, after 3 or 4 hours of visit, we are back at the French door where our tour ends and at the same door where our tour started.

Sarah gave us an extraordinary tour in the Medina. He is very kind, knows a lot of things, and has shown us so many different places in the Medina that we would never reach by ourselves. He does not intend to show you the touristic attractions only, but mainly the different characteristics and places of his town and culture. Thank you so much Sarah, the best guide in Guruwalks!
