FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
-Can I pay in euros? Yes. We accept euros, dollars, and florins.
-Can I pay by card? No, but our guides have Bizzum or Revolut, for those of you who don't have cash.
Where does the tour start and end? It starts at Erszébet tér, next to the Ferris wheel, and ends at the Liberty Bridge.
ITINERARY :
🟢 We'll be waiting for you at Erszébet Square, next to the Ferris Wheel , to begin our tour.
We'll start by talking about the terrible Habsburg curse . Tragedy haunted this royal family for centuries... What was the origin of it all?
🟢 Next to the impressive Four Seasons Hotel , you'll meet Bela Lugosi , the Hungarian actor who starred in the first Dracula in cinematic history. Did you know he slept in a coffin?
Although vampires aren't the only ones in fiction, have you heard of Vlad Tepes the Impaler ? And the Bloody Countess ? You'll be amazed by these two characters.
🟢 We'll head to the Chain Bridge to enjoy the wonderful views of Buda Hill . There, we'll tell you the legend behind its construction.
🟢 We will walk along the riverbank until we reach “the little princess” A sculpture that, according to the myth, will bring you luck!
🟢 Next to Vigadó Palace, we'll tell you about "the cursed Hungarian song" and the misfortunes it brought to this city. Will you dare to listen to it with us?
🟢 We'll be stopping by March 15th Square to tell you about some of Hungary's most notorious crimes that had international repercussions. Crime fans are in luck!
🟢 Next to the Liberty Bridge and with Gellert Hill in the background, we'll talk about Hungarian folklore: shamanism, mythology, and surprising rituals that survive to this day.
Requirements:
-Minimum of 6 people required for the tour to run
-We do not accept groups on free tours. Group bookings of 6 or more people must pay 10 euros or 4,500 HUF per person at the beginning. Otherwise, the guide may not admit them. (This also applies if a group of 6 or more makes multiple bookings.)
