It was a fantastic tour accompanied by Kata's knowledge of history and stories about the past. We very much enjoyed the tour and highly recommend anyone else who wants to attend.

I had a fantastic experience on the walking tour with Kate! She is incredibly knowledgeable, and the tour was both informative and enjoyable from start to finish. Kate began with a brief but insightful overview of Budapest’s history, which really helped me appreciate the city on a deeper level. Throughout the tour, she shared fascinating facts, pointed out hidden gems, and revealed little-known details that you’d never discover on your own. I learned so much and had a wonderful time. Kata is a local, born and bred Buda girl who is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. You will learn a lot about the medieval history of the Buda side of the city and some interesting facts about the local landmarks. Her upbeat personality and sense of humour keeps the tour interesting so you don't just feel like you're being overwhelmed with facts. The tour actually doesn't involve much walking - there is plenty of opportunity to sit for people with achy, tired legs. I wouldn't have minded more walking and exploration but that's a personal preference. You will see the main tourist attractions in the area including Buda Castle & Fisherman's bastion. You will also get a list of recommendations at the end which is very useful. If you are coming to visit Budapest, I recommend Kata's tour first, then Robert's tour the next day. This way you will get the full Hungarian history and see both sides of the city. After that, you will have plenty of knowledge and recommendations to explore the city on your own!
