My name is Rui and I'm 29 years old! I'm a Portuguese photographer (from Porto) and I love sharing a little about the city where I grew up! My perspective on the city is focused on fun, photography, and living here, but I'll also share a bit of history and some fun facts!

Tour description

My name's Rui and I'll be your guide through the hidden gems between the tourist hotspots in Porto!
This tour is a trip through the centuries in this beautiful city, starting from where the city made its name and ending where the city started!
I'm a local and this tour will be focused on the day-to-day life, habits and ways of the city, so you get a full experience through the eyes of someone who's been living this place daily. I'm a photographer now, but I have a Masters in Architecture from the Porto faculty (FAUP), from which I took a lot of knowledge about the city too: feel free to photograph and ask for tips whilst learning about the history of buildings and city structures!
Let's have some fun walking around this historical, whimsical and tasteful city!

PS: This tour will be taken with smaller groups only, as a more familiar and personal environment.

Meeting point:

Ribeira do Porto

1. The meeting place will be the benches in front of the tile houses and restaurants on the bank of the Douro river, next to the Luis I bridge. 2. I'll be wearing golden sunglasses. I have a long-ish beard, pretty easy to recognize! 3. I'll send a WhatsApp message with further info if required! Feel free to ask anything beforehand!

How much does this tour cost?

Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and $50 per participant.
