Essential Free walking tours of Porto

We had a great experience with Diogo. He is welcoming and engaging. The information was very interesting and nicely paced. At the end of the tour Diogo provided us with excellent recommendations, with a specially prepared map. I highly recommend his tours.

Experienced my first free walking tour with Adriano, exploring city of Porto. Adriano is a pationate guide who likes to tell stories. Info was mostly interesting and shared in a way which made it very memorable - I still recall most of the details. Adriano is friendly and easy to talk to. He likes the authentic part of his city for which I dont blame him. The content - things to see - was a mixture of things from history to places of interest which should please most of the visitors. Enjoy your toor with Adriano and enjoy Porto. Dress well in winter, it can get windy.

Youssef was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Was very good and through about the history of Marrakesh, and Morocco, in general. Would highly recommend.

Wir hatten einen tollen informativen Spaziergang mit Leo. Er hat viel Interessantes und Überraschendes über Porto und die besuchten Orte geteilt. In den 2,5 Stunden haben wir auch einige Geheimtipps und weniger bekannte Orte gesehen.

Jorge introduced overall history of Portugal, and beautiful part of porto city. It was very informative and in a same time pleasant time to walk around the city!

The tour was great. I couldn't attend an earlier tour and booked this one and it was a good choice. Our guide Tiago is knowledgeable and provided the information in a fun way. His English was good, he spoke with a microphone, in a moderate pace, so it was easy to follow the story. He also left room for questions and clarifications. The tour doesn't cover much of the story of Portugal itself, so it's better to read some facts beforehand to understand the context. In winter I recommend taking the tour at 15:30-16:00, as it finishes at a place with a splendid sunset view.

Best tour guide I had so far. Would do it again and again, just for Jorge’s (George’s) knowledge and sense of humor.

Diogo was an amazing and knowledgable tour guide who went above and beyond for this tour. He was early at the meeting point and messaged us beforehand to ensure we could find him. The tour was a good balance of being professional and relatable to the group of different age ranges and nationalities. Diogo included various important historical facts as well as practical information about the best things to do in Porto based on his experience as a local. The delivery was very well paced, he always checked to make sure we could hear him, and he was able to answer all our questions about the social and historical development of Porto as a city. Towards the end he also shared a map of his top recommendations that we could use even after the tour. I highly recommend this tour with Diogo!

Good walk around the city. Recommended in general. What was good: enthusiastic storytelling, appropriate jokes, respectful guide. Original planned guide had an accident and the tour company managed to find a replacement with a very minor time delay that was compensated at the end of the tour with a short extension. What could be better: creating a connected storyline for the main events of the city and connect it to the sights we see along the way. I don’t feel like I know the story of the city after this tour, but I do have interesting information about it for sure.

Excellent walking tour by Diogo. I've done many many walking tours around the world and I found this one was one of my favorites. Good information (history and culture) delivered with good humor to keep the content interesting, and ahead of the game on the questions you're gonna end up asking. I don't often write reviews if the tour isn't noteworthy, but for me this one was totally worth taking. Would recommend. Thanks again!
