Tour description
The azulejos are the visual heart of Portugal, but in Porto, they are much more than decoration: they are pages of a book written on the walls. In this free walking tour, we will use them as a "guiding thread" to read the city: history, faith, power, daily life... and many curiosities that make Porto unique.
What we will discover during the walk:
• Essential Porto: we will cross the most iconic places of the historic center and some less traveled corners, with stops at the best points to understand the city and photograph it.
• Azulejos as identity: we will see how these tiles have become a national symbol and, in Porto, a true urban language.
• Stories and anecdotes: the narrative combines art, history, and small legends in a simple and engaging way.
The tour is suitable for everyone visiting the city for the first time. And after this walk, I assure you that you will look at Porto (and its walls) with completely different eyes.
