Hi, I'm Andri, I studied history and I've been giving city tours for over two years.
Below is the tour itinerary.
Experience San Cristóbal de las Casas, one of Mexico's most charming and culturally rich cities, renowned for its vibrant Mayan heritage and indigenous population. This free walking tour of San Cristóbal de las Casas is designed to connect you with its history, local life, and culture.
For two and a half hours, we explored some corners of the city together, explaining the local history (starting with the colonial history of the 16th century and culminating with the history of the Zapatista movement of 1994), and getting to know:
• The iconic architecture of the Cathedral of San Cristóbal.
• The Handicrafts Market.
• Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
• Hotel "Diego de Mazariegos".
•The local market "José Castillo Tielemans" • • Mayan textile museum.
• Coffee Museum.
• Church of the "Morenos".
•Guadalupe walkway.
At the end of the tour we will taste the traditional "Pox" drink and unique places to try the local cuisine will be recommended, as well as places for nightlife.
I'm sure you'll learn a lot about history, politics, gastronomy, architecture and more on this tour.
