Description

The Cocoa Route in Cusco: History, Flavors, and Craft Beer

Our workshop takes place in Cusco, in a cozy space dedicated to chocolate and craft beer, located in the charming neighborhood of San Blas, just a few minutes from the Plaza de Armas.

Before starting the experience, we will take a brief tour of some of the most emblematic places in the historic center of Cusco. We will visit the Plaza de Armas, the ancient ceremonial center of the Inca Empire; the Church of Triumph, considered the oldest temple in the city; the Archbishop's Palace, home to the famous Stone of Twelve Angles; and the traditional streets of San Blas, known as the Artisan's Quarter.

The experience continues with a visit to the San Blas Market, where you will learn about local products and have the opportunity to buy dried fruits such as almonds, walnuts, raisins, and other ingredients to personalize your chocolates.

Back at the workshop, you will discover the history and characteristics of Peruvian cocoa. Then you will make your own chocolates step by step, from molding to decoration, using high-quality Andean cocoa and the ingredients selected during the market visit.

Finally, you will enjoy a tasting of your creations accompanied by two styles of craft beer brewed in Cusco, a perfect combination to explore local flavors and have an authentic experience.

The tour concludes at the same workshop, located in the heart of San Blas, allowing you to continue exploring its art galleries, cafes, artisan workshops, and streets full of history.

All materials for making the chocolates and tastings are included. The purchase of dried fruits at the market is optional and at the expense of each participant.

Additional expenses
* The chocolate-making experience and craft beer tasting have an additional cost of S/ 50 per person.
