Even though I was the only person on the tour, Getachew and his friend came with a car because it was raining. That was very nice. We got to see a lot of places in the city. And for all this, their expectations from me were not that high. I gave them extra tip to make up for the use of the car. If you are in Addis, do look for Getachew. He is wonderful.

The city tour with Getachew was great! He picked us up at the hotel, and first discussed what we were hoping to see on the tour. The tour was then completely tailored to our preferences. He knew all the best coffee places and the spots to have a good overview of the big market. Generally, he was very knowledgeable on Addis and Ethiopia as a whole, and we had a wonderful afternoon with him.

Amazing day with Getachew. He picked me in the hotel on time and we decided our visit as I had already been in the museums of the city. So we went to the Holy Cathedral, helped me with some shopping and phone card and we visited the bustling ‘mercato’, the biggest open air market in Africa. It was a great and knowledgeable guide and I felt very good by his side. All time he was explaining and being very nice. Thanks Getachew for today!

A great way to experience Addis. Belayneh was friendly and knowledgeable, and adapted the itinerary to my wishes and preferences. I definitely suggest him.

Belaynah is a very nice guy. He showed me around the main sites of downtown and, as others have mentioned, showed us three separate means of public transportation-- minibus, bus, and light rail. He did not have a very specific itinerary in mind, so I would recommend that any others who want to take the walk should do a bit of research in advance to think of things that they would like to see.

Belayneh fue muy amable y estuvo muy atento en todo momento a lo que yo quería conocer. Viajamos en todos los transportes disponibles en la ciudad, cosa que sola no hubiera hecho. Me acompaño a comprar chip y me ayudo en todo momento. Súper recomendable!

- [ ] I just came from the Addis Ababa tour with Belay! He is an amazing and reliable person. A honest guy and has loads of knowledge about his country. He took me to a /taxi tour for around 8 hours. We got to see the main churches, went to the Entoto mount, National Museum where he helped me to understand a bit of the pre-history of mankind. We walked around the busy Merkato where locals come to buy and sell all kinds of products for retail. We had a lunch at a traditional restaurant and tasted a bit of the unique Ethiopian cuisine. After that we went to the Tomako coffee where we tried the delicious macchiato. Not satisfied we went to a traditional coffee ceremony. Despite I was very tired from my flight the previous night, we did a great tour. There was much more to see but I couldn’t stay more. I highly recommend him as your guide. It doesn’t feel much safe to walk by yourself as many local will approach you talking in their language. There are no many tourists around so you can be an easy target to anyone with bad intentions. Walking around with him a felt safe.
