Free walking tours in Aqaba

I have a very special memory of Aqaba (and of Jordan in general) in part thanks to Mohammed. He was an incredible guide: he showed us all the important places, gave us some food to try and answered all our questions. If you are in Aqaba, don’t just go diving or to the beach, because this tour is even better :)

The tour with Motaz was amazing, he’s very prepared, fun, and takes you to great stops around the city. He has you try different foods from different shops, by the end my belly was full of delicious Jordanian delicacies. He even was kind to help me book another tour the next day. I highly recommend Mo’s walking tour, he’s the best!!

We had a great time with Motaz! He showed us around the old town and market, let us try some traditional snacks and desserts, and shared lots of interesting insights about the food and local traditions. He was really friendly—more like a good friend than a guide—and very patient in explaining how everything is prepared. It was a great way to experience the real Aqaba. He even helped us arrange transport back to our hotel. I definitely recommend his tour!

It was only me so the tour was cancelled. First he asked me to join the evening one but I was still the only one. Mohammed told me a few hours in advance.

We did the tour on a Friday evening which is a weekend. The city was alive with lots of activities and Mohammed gave us a great overview of the history, way of life and taster of food. At the souk, we spoke to quite a few shop owners and had a taster of their food. It is a very interesting insight to the Jordanian lifestyle and we really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend.

Mohammed was an excellent tour guide around Aqaba. He really knew all the spots to show us. He was able to answer any and all of our questions and we could have continued conversing about the history, culture, or just life in general for hours. We also talked with locals and got to see and taste the real Aqaba, which is great because guide books don't do it justice. This was a great walking tour! Mohammed knew so much about the history of Aqaba, and took me tons of local spots in town. He's very easy to talk to and very informative! He even treated me to a few delicacies, like tea, a sandwich, and some spices! I highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing tour with Thumama!! He is great at explaining the history of Aqaba and the places we visited and is also a very nice and friendly guy! We ended the tour visiting some local places and we extended the tour having some drinks with him at one of these local places. We had a great time chating with him. It felt like we were hanging out with a friend and the time went by very fast!! 200% recommended!! :D

A fantastic tour. This tour won’t disappoint! I had a fantastic tour guide who was very knowledgeable. He gave a lot of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions. He offered recommendations of other things to do/ see and places to eat during the tour. Definitely a must do when you visit Aqaba.
