Essential Free walking tours of Avignon

We had a wonderful tour of Avignon with Jerome. His enthusiasm and passion for the city made the experience both enjoyable and engaging. What we especially appreciated was that he went far beyond the usual tourist highlights. In addition to the history and landmarks, he shared interesting insights into local politics and everyday life in France, which gave us a much deeper understanding of the city and the country. Jerome also provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and cafés, which turned out to be very helpful during our stay. A great guide and a tour we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Avignon.

Duration, length and information levels were all just right. Loved the recommendations for food and other places to go!

I really enjoyed the tour - it was so full of information it felt like 3 hours instead of 2 :-) A good mix of history, current situation of the city, advice for food spots and other activities. Good starting point for a trip to Avignon. Jérôme was an entertaining and flexible guide.

We had Jerome as our tour guide in Avignon, and he was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful old city and shared fascinating stories that brought its past to life. At the same time, he was engaging, entertaining, and made the tour enjoyable from start to finish. We learned so much and had a wonderful experience. It was one oft the best walking tours we ever had. The most important facts of the city were combined with small stories what made the tour very informative while also beeing entertaining. Would totally recommend doing a tour with jerome.

We have been on multiple Guru walks all over the place but we can honestly say that Jerome gave us the best walking tour experience we have ever had. He is charming, full of energy and so informative at the same time. The tour included hidden gems that you would never have found without his guidance. The two hours passed in a flash.

We did the walking tour with Ana Maria. It lasted 2 hours and gave us a basic knowledge of the town of Avignon. She gave a more in-depth talk about The Papacy in Avignon and the Popes' Palace itself. We enjoyed her tour. Our only complaint is that the tour is during mid day and finished at 2:30 pm. We were turned away from several restaurants and it took a while to find one and have something to eat.
