Free walking tours in Brisbane

Rory was our guide (only three on the tour) and he was well versed with the history of Brisbane and the places we visited. Well done Rory.

It was great to walk and descover in the city with a local guide that has grown up here...who can know his hometown better? Really interesting spots!

Rory is a cheerful and friendly tour guide who had a font of knowledge about the history of the area. I would do this tour again if I visited Brisbane in the future!

He knew a lot of information about the area, even down to the full names and dates of historical events, he answered every question we had in extreme detail, and noted some points of interest after we asked. The route was very nice, and gave a good perspective on the city as a whole

It was a nice and interesting tour. I learnt a lot about Brisbane, I would not have if I did not go on the tour and I also discovered sights, I probably would have missed otherwise. Rory was very kind and knowledgeable, sometimes I had a little difficulty understanding him though.

If you are looking for an historical tour, Rory is your men! He knows all the dates! But if you are looking for fun facts or humoristic situation, choose another tour!

Yesterday Rory cancelled the tour that morning for personal reasons. I didn’t notice it had been cancelled so I showed up, but he did notify me three hours in advance. I rescheduled for the next day and he asked me to show up earlier so he could go to a Christmas party, which was totally fine, so I showed up and once again he didn’t show up. In his defense, there was a second message sent to me asking me if I would be there at 9:30 that I didn’t see. However I still had a reservation for later in the day which I asked him to confirm multiple times that he would be there and he finally told me it was canceled. So I never did get the tour.

I’m from Melbourne and knew nothing of Brisbanes history. Rory walked me through the heritage sites of the city with a bank of information for names dates and locations and was very engaging.

Rory is a super professional tour guide, I would recommend the tour with him!

Rory was very friendly & certainly knew his facts about Brisbane. We spent a pleasant couple of hours walking around the main landmarks in the city and ended by taking a short trip on the City Cat along the river to the South Bank. Only a small suggestion which would be to maybe include a few more lighthearted/ humorous facts about the city. Thank you Rory
