Really entertaining and informative. Cillín Is a great guide and told us a lot of good stories along the way.

Our guide was a fabulous storyteller and brought the sad layers of Galway’s history to life as we walked the crowded streets. He pointed out many things that we had passed by without noticing. Many of Galway’s historical buildings have been absorbed into modern structures over the years. I loved the way he balanced the good and bad of the historical characters that built - and tore down, Galway. A proud Irish speaker. I wish I could remember his name! I remember his ancestors came from the Bourke tribe.

Great tour provided by Mark for our first visit to Galway. He provided just the right balance of information and humour.

Your standard tour - it's good, though it is pretty rehearsed and short (1:25h).

Cillian led a perfect tour to get to know Galway. He was very knowledgeable and full of really interesting facts that kept both our kids engaged. It was the right length and not too much walking for our kids. Would highly recommend!

Funny guy, really solid tour

I am joining free walking tours in basically every city I am visiting, thus I have done it in many european cities already (Brussels, Vienna, Budapest, Seville, Cologne, Frankfurt and many more)… this has been one of the best tours ☺️ Good and entertaining stories, good knowledge about history and his ancestors, critical view, not too political, tough. I enjoyed the tour a lot!

This was my second experience of GuruWalk and I cannot recommend the guides highly enough. Cillian was entertaining and knowledgeable, giving us insights into Galway which we would never otherwise have gleaned in such a short space of time. Fabulous!

Very good tour. Cillin was entertaining and knowledgeable, with loads of fun facts about the city and it's history, including lots that we wouldn't have got from a guide book! Responded well to questions from the group, and had plenty of recommendations for further exploration of Galway. Highly recommend!

Kylian was the nicest and best tour gide that we have ever had. The tour was absolutely phenomenal and i have never learned more about Galway and Irish history in my entire life. The energy that the tour gide gave off was also amazing and overall great tour keep up the amazing work!!!

The tour was fantastic! Our guide Cillian, a proud Galway local, shared his passion for the city. I appreciated his honesty—speaking about its more difficult and painful history. I also loved how he highlighted Galway’s historic buildings with its modern architecture. The tour offered not only the history of the city but also of Ireland as a whole, giving me a deeper understanding and appreciation for the struggles and the resilience of the Irish people. My daughters (ages 12 and 16) and my wife (age undisclosed) enjoyed it just as much. The experience made me laugh, reflect, and even tear up. I highly recommend the tour!

We enjoyed this tour. Our guide Aisling was very nice and charming. She made us laugh and taught us a lot about Galway's history. She also recommended us places to have a drink, visit or have dinner.
