Greetings from the Kansai region!
I'm Kazu, a passionate local eager to share the rich cultural heritage and hidden gems of both Osaka and Kyoto with you.
Having grown up in the vibrant neighborhoods of Umeda and the northern regions of Osaka, I have developed a deep appreciation for the unique charm and bustling energy of this city. My roots in Osaka run deep, but my love for exploration extends beyond its borders.
With fluency in English and a wealth of cross-cultural experiences from living and working abroad, I am well-equipped to guide you through the intricate tapestry of Japan's cultural landscape. Whether it's navigating the bustling streets of Osaka or exploring the serene temples of Kyoto, I am committed to providing you with an immersive and unforgettable experience.
Beyond sightseeing, I specialize in teaching Japanese language and culture, offering you the opportunity to learn and engage in meaningful cultural exchanges while savoring the essence of local izakayas.
Embark on a journey with me that goes beyond the guidebooks, where every moment is an opportunity for discovery and connection. Let's create unforgettable memories together in the heart of Kansai!
On our first day in Kyoto, we had the opportunity to have Kazu as our tour guide, and it was amazing having our first perspective of the city with him. His knowledge and passion for the city made it sensational for us to experience and learn of Kyoto’s history and culture.
This was an amazing tour and I cannot recommend it enough. The other group that was supposed to be on the tour didn’t show up (and very rudely didn’t even bother to notify the guide), but Kazu still kindly offered to do the tour with just me. I’m so glad he did, because he gave a fantastic overview of Gion/Higashiyama and he provided information on the history, geography, religion, and culture related to the area. He showed me some really cool sights with lots of fun facts, and answered all of my questions. If you are staying in Kyoto, I think it’s a great idea to do this earlier on in your stay so you can get a preview of the area, but you’ll surely learn new things even if you take this tour after having some time to explore the area on your own.
Good but we would like more information
Kazu was absolutely amazing!!!!!! He was so attentive, knowledgeable, and had so much passion on the topics that came through when he was explaining the history of Kyoto with us. His enthusiasm was infectious, you would be lucky to have a tour with him!!! Kazu, thank you for the amazing memories today! We will not forget it :)
