Hi, I'm Easwrarau, 33 years old with 15 years of experience in my field. I'm deeply passionate about my country and love tasting different foods from all around. I used to be an introvert, but now I enjoy meeting new people and embracing new experiences.
This is an ideal tour for anyone who wants to make the most of a trip to Kuala Lumpur. While you can visit the Batu Caves on your own, it is exponentially better with a tour guide to help you appreciate its history and cultural significance. Ramesh was a very patient guide and engaging storyteller. We had more than enough time to explore the caves on our own first, which were very beautiful. Ramesh then took us into a few of the temples and told us several stories behind Hinduism and interesting local facts about the area with details you wouldn't get just from online research. For the street food part of the tour, we started with refreshing coconut juice at the temple site then went back into the city to explore the Kasturi Walk and have fresh fruit and fried street snacks. I loved the area so much I went back twice by myself after the tour. We walked to a few other attractions like Merdeka Square, St Mary's Cathedral, and the Railway Station. Ramesh emphasized the contributions of each of Malaysia's ethnic groups to Kuala Lumpur's most popular sites. These parts were filled with interesting fun facts as well and give you a great intro to the city so you can make the most of your trip.
Minimum tip is 120 Ringit. The tour is long and comprehensive. Much time is spent listening to long monologues while waiting for scheduled trains. I always enjoy the comradery of GuruWalks rather than doing it on my own. You could visit the Batu Caves on your own in much shorter time.
Great experience, knowledgable tour guide!
