A truly authentic local experience — Rich was the perfect guide! This local market tour with Rich was one of the most genuine and enriching experiences of our entire trip. If you’re looking to get beyond the typical tourist path and truly understand the daily life, flavors, and culture of the city, this is the tour for you. From the very beginning, Rich made us feel like we were exploring the market with a good friend who happened to know everything about the place. He guided us through narrow alleys, bustling stalls, and hidden corners of the market that we would never have found on our own. His rapport with the local vendors was incredible — you could tell he’s a familiar and respected face there, which made us feel like we were being let in on something special. Rich shared so much more than just what was on display. He explained the significance of different ingredients, the stories behind traditional snacks, and the rhythms of everyday life that unfold in the market. He encouraged us to taste things we might never have tried on our own, and every bite came with a story. What really stood out was Rich’s authenticity and passion. He wasn’t just ticking off a list of stops — he clearly loved sharing this part of his world with us, and it showed in every interaction. He was also incredibly kind, patient, and made sure everyone was comfortable and included throughout. This tour gave us a real connection to the city, its people, and its flavors. Die Führung voller Kindheitserinnerungen, historischer Fakten, Humor und weitreichendem Wissen um die Stadtentwicklung zogen uns während der gesamten Führung in ihren Bann. Man spürte die Leidenschaft für die Märkte und das Viertel, sowie die Liebe, die Rich für die Stadt empfindet.
It was super interesting and different. Be prepared for eating and a lot of walking. It is quite a long tour. Rich were super fun and helpful.
